A letter from our President/Executive Director, Natalie Craig

Thank you so much for the opportunity to share my vision of the newly-organized charitable organization, Walk In Their Shoes, Inc. As you know, children in our local community go without proper food, shelter, basic care, and life skills every day due to a variety of factors including abuse, job loss, injuries, illness, domestic violence, or divorce. While all of us are susceptible to hard times, children are often at the highest risk and fall victim to low self-esteem, social anxiety, aggressive behavior, and isolation from society. High-risk children can, therefore, lack the ability to work in team settings and struggle with developing mastery skills and strategic thinking methods.

With the generous support of individuals like YOURSELF, we will be able to help many of these children not only improve self-confidence through new clothing apparel, but work toward a brighter future through participation in sporting camps, opportunities to earn summer scholarships, and the gift of athletic equipment and duffel bags. The goal of Walk In Their Shoes is to provide these children with new clothing, the opportunity to participate in sports outside of their school and further assist with things their shelters cannot fund.

Walk In Their Shoes, Inc will strive to fill the void where these locations suffer. With the help of Boys and Girls Club and our partnerships with Under Armour and Texas Tech University, we aim to better the lives of these children through sportsmanship while becoming future athletes of America. I look forward to our long future together, equipping our children for success.
